Volunteers in Parole, Inc. (VIP)

We OWE a special debt of gratitude to VIP and the California Youth Authority. When Tim first decided to become a motivational speaker he was naïve enough to think clients would be lining up for him at his door. Needless to say, nothing could have been further from the truth. It was VIP and specifically Ralph Serpico, a Regional Director with VIP, who took a chance on Tim.

Ralph and Tim worked side-by-side to create Living at the Peak, a one-day life-skills seminar for prisoners who would eventually be released from state custody. More than 150 kids went through Living at the Peak over a three-year period. Due to changes necessary to improve the safety of the facility, Living at the Peak had to be discontinued. Living at the Peak was a wonderful opportunity for which we at The Personal Branding Group, Inc., are eternally grateful.

Background on VIP

VIP is an organization dedicated to mentoring youth offenders who are currently incarcerated within the California Youth Authority. Specifically, VIP matches up prisoners one-on-one with attorneys for the purpose of providing soon-to-be-released offenders with a role model to help them reintegrate into society and become productive citizens. In addition to leading Living at the Peak, Tim has successfully mentored three parolees as part of VIP.
